Omni Fight Club Is Partnering With the Parkinson’s Foundation for a Community Fundraiser Event
At Omni Fight Club, boxing has always been about more than throwing punches.
Yes, we hit bags. Yes, we work hard. Yes, there’s usually a decent amount of sweat involved. That part is kind of unavoidable.
But the deeper purpose has always been helping people feel stronger, more capable, more confident, and more supported in their everyday lives.
That’s why our upcoming OFC Parkinson’s Foundation Event means so much to us.
On Saturday, September 26, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., Omni Fight Club will host a community fundraiser and open house, partnering with the Parkinson’s Foundation to raise awareness, raise money, and help connect people with Parkinson’s, their families, caregivers, friends, and the wider community with resources that can make a real difference.

This is not just a workout event. It’s a community event. It’s an educational event. And honestly, it’s something that has become deeply personal for our team.

Why This Matters to Us
When Omni Fight Club first started working with clients who have Parkinson’s, the reason was simple: we knew movement, boxing, strength work, balance, and stability training could help.
But over time, it became much more than that.
As our team learned more about Parkinson’s disease and spent more time working directly with people in the Parkinson’s community, we started seeing something bigger than physical training. We saw people walking in nervous, uncertain, or frustrated by what they had been told they may not be able to do anymore.
Then we saw what happened when they were coached, encouraged, and given a way to move that worked for them.
We saw confidence come back.
We saw smiles.
We saw people realize they were still capable.
That has changed the way we look at this work.
Stephanie, our General Manager at Omni Fight Club, put it this way:
“More than anything, we want people to realize what they’re still capable of. Maybe things look different than they used to, but that doesn’t mean they can’t do them anymore.”
That sentence really captures the heart behind this event.
Because for many people living with Parkinson’s, the diagnosis can come with a long list of things they may eventually struggle with. Movement. Balance. Stability. Confidence. Independence. Everyday tasks that used to feel automatic can start to feel uncertain.
We’re not here to pretend that Parkinson’s is easy. It’s not.
But we do believe people deserve support, resources, encouragement, and coaching that helps them keep doing as much as they can, for as long as they can, in a way that meets them where they are.
Why Boxing and Movement?
We’ve seen firsthand why boxing-inspired training can be such a meaningful tool for people with Parkinson’s.
Some of our members have shared improvements in things like steadiness, coordination, confidence, and everyday tasks, including being able to write their names more smoothly. Every person’s experience is different, and we never want to promise a specific outcome, but those moments matter.
They matter because Parkinson’s can affect movement in real, daily ways. It can impact balance, walking, coordination, speed, and the size or control of someone’s movements.
That’s where boxing-inspired training can be so helpful.
Pad work, footwork, reaction drills, and larger, more intentional movements challenge the body and brain at the same time. Instead of only moving in a slow, predictable pattern, clients are often asked to watch, react, shift, punch, reset, and coordinate multiple things at once.
That kind of training can help people practice speed, balance, coordination, timing, and control in a way that feels engaging and empowering.
And honestly, that part matters too.
Because when someone realizes they can still move with power, still respond, still learn, still hit a pad, still laugh, and still leave feeling proud of themselves, that is more than exercise.
That is confidence.
That is dignity.
That is someone remembering, “I’m still capable.”
We’re careful not to present boxing as a cure or a guaranteed outcome. It’s not. But we have seen how the right coaching, the right modifications, and the right community can help people feel more capable, more confident, and more supported.
About the Event
The OFC Parkinson’s Foundation Event will take place at Omni Fight Club on Saturday, September 26, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
This will be a fundraiser, open house, and community resource event for people with Parkinson’s, their families, caregivers, current OFC members, and anyone in the community who wants to learn more and support the cause.
Throughout the event, guests will be able to connect with local professionals and organizations that serve the Parkinson’s community and support overall health and wellness. We’ll have community partners on-site, including professionals in areas like physical therapy, chiropractic care, mental health, nutrition, and other local care resources.
There will also be opportunities to see short demonstrations of the kind of movement and training we use with Parkinson’s clients at Omni Fight Club. This will not be a full workout class, so don’t worry. Nobody is getting tricked into burpees at a fundraiser. Probably.
Instead, the goal is to give guests a simple, approachable look at how boxing-inspired movement, balance work, stability training, and strength exercises can be modified and used to support people with Parkinson’s.
Guests will also have the opportunity to donate and participate in short preview sessions that show what one-on-one Parkinson’s-focused training can look like at OFC.
We’ll also have food, drinks, and possibly raffles and giveaways, making it a relaxed, welcoming event for the whole community.
The Fundraising Has Already Started
In the weeks leading up to the event, we created Omni Fight Club and Parkinson’s Foundation wristbands to help raise money and awareness.

So far, we’ve already sold 50 wristbands at $5 each.
That may seem small, but to us, it matters.
It means people are paying attention. It means members are asking questions. It means conversations are happening. And it means our community is already stepping in to support something bigger than a single event.
That’s what we love about Omni Fight Club.
The workout may be what gets people through the door, but the people are what make this place different.
How You Can Help
There are a few simple ways to support the OFC Parkinson’s Foundation Event.
You can attend the event on Saturday, September 26.
You can make a donation to support the Parkinson’s Foundation.
You can purchase a wristband at Omni Fight Club.
You can invite someone who may benefit from learning more about Parkinson’s-focused movement, training, and local resources.
You can share the event with a friend, family member, caregiver, or neighbor.
And most importantly, you can help us remind people in the Parkinson’s community that they are not alone.
This event is about more than raising money, though that part matters.
It’s about awareness.
It’s about resources.
It’s about community.
It’s about helping people walk into a room and feel like they still have options, still have support, and still have people in their corner.
At Omni Fight Club, we believe movement can build confidence. We believe coaching can change the way someone sees themselves. And we believe community can make hard things feel a little less heavy.
We’d love for you to be part of it.
